CHANDIGARH: Call it a move of cross checking by reaching out to the beneficiaries or the preparations for the Mission 2024 general elections, the Haryana chief minister office (CMO) has put a mechanism to have CM Manohar Lal Khattar’s interaction with targeted audience every week.
The program was launched last Saturday and on this Saturday Khatar virtually interacted with the new Below Poverty Line (BPL) card holders from his camp office in Haryana Bhawan of New Delhi
During interactions, Khattar took feedback from the beneficiaries and assured the improvement or implementation of suggestions given by them. Officials in CMO said that now CMO will have this interaction on a random basis, at least one such group on every Saturday.
According to information, the CMO has put a audio bridge, a mass communication system in place which flashes CM’s voice messages to the beneficiaries. Those who respond are randomly picked up by CM whom he makes the call. This system make 10,000 to 15000 persons connect immediately to splash the message. Only the caller has an option as to whom to contact,’ the official involved in setting up the system in place, said.
`` He would make call through the auto calling system and would interact for as long as he wishes to take feedback. Those who attend calls too feel proud after being approached by CM himself. We are hopeful that this will send good message among masses as well as officials involved in implementations of policies and programs of the government,’’ said a CMO official.
During his interaction on Saturday, Khattar said that the state government is running several welfare schemes for employment, health, education and housing facilities to bring Antyodaya families into the mainstream. The Chief Minister said that for the convenience of Antyodaya families, the work of making BPL ration cards on auto mode has been started in the state. BPL cards of all the beneficiaries have also been made recently. He said that new BPL families have been added on the basis of the criteria of verified annual income mentioned in the Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP). Online BPL ration cards are being issued to the families having annual income up to Rs 1.80 lakh. He informed that new BPL cards have been issued to more than 29 lakh families across the state.
