AMBALA: Haryana police special task force (STF) Ambala unit arrested two persons and a truck load of poppy husk weighing about 13.44 quintal worth Rs 60 lakh from their possession in Ambala district on Tuesday.
The arrested accused have been identified as Tarsem and Jaspal, both residents of Prempura in Pinjore area of Panchkula district.
The accused would be produced in the district court in Ambala on Wednesday.
The STF Ambala acted on the basis of information from a petrol pump in Devi Nagar area of Ambala Sadar police station (PS).
A case under relevant Sections of the NDPS has been registered against both accused at Ambala Sadar PS.
