Disgraced film producer Harvey Weinstein has tested positive for coronavirus, it has been claimed.
The convicted rapist has been confirmed as having the virus while in prison, state prison officials told CNHI newspapers on Sunday.
The suggestion that Weinstein has the disease have not been confirmed by those close to him however, Mirror.co.uk reports.
Juda Engelmayer, his spokesperson, said that his team "had not heard anything like that yet."
Earlier this month Weinstein was sentenced to 23 years for rape and sexual assault.
If his diagnosis is verified, then he will be the second inmate to have tested positive for coronavirus in Wende Correctional Facility in western New York.
At least one other famous American face tested positive for the potentially deadly bug today.
Republican Senator Rand Paul - known for his libertarian principles - announced that he had contracted the virus.
