Harvey Norman sends all Irish customers kind email with Father's Day nearing

Harvey Norman are asking all regular customers if they want to receive Father's Day promotions with the day just weeks away.

Father's Day can be a tough time for many who have lost their dad or for many other reasons, with constant emails and ads triggering negative feelings for many.

In an email to customers, the top store said: "With Father's Day only around the corner we understand that for some it isn't always a day for celebration each year.

"Reminders can be difficult, so if you'd prefer to be excluded from our Father's Day communications this year please do so by clicking the link below."

The small touch is becoming more common amongst businesses as they try to gage what their customers want and would rather avoid.

For those in a panic, Father's Day does not fall until Sunday, June 19, so plenty of time left to plan if you do wish to gift your dad something.
