Harvey Nichols issues urgent product recall through Food Standards Agency

The Food Standards Agency has issued an urgent alert due to undeclared nuts in a Harvey Nichols product.

Harvey Nichols is recalling its own brand Dark Chocolate Gingers because the product contains pistachio (nuts) which is not mentioned on the label.

The product has been incorrectly packed with Dark Chocolate Pistachios. This means it is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to nuts.

Best before: August 30, 2020

Allergens: Nuts (pistachio)

No other Harvey Nichols products are known to be affected.

If you have bought the above product and have an allergy to nuts, do not eat it. Instead return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund.

Risk statement

This product contains pistachio (nuts). This means that the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to nuts.

Customers have been advised to contact the relevant allergy support organisations which will tell their members about the recall.

The company has also issued a point-of-sale notice to its customers. These notices explain to customers why the product is being recalled and tells them what to do if they have bought the product. Please see the attached notice.
