Harvey Elliott sends Liverpool fans wild by scoring from his own half in Blackburn training

Harvey Elliott has scored an incredible goal from behind the halfway line in training with Blackburn Rovers.

The Liverpool loanee collected the ball on the left wing at the Brockhall training ground and drove forward before getting his head up and spotting the goalkeeper off his line.

The 17-year-old then picks out an audacious strike from around 50 yards away, chipping the goalkeeper and sending the ball into the bottom right-hand corner.

Elliott has played 29 games in the Championship for Rovers this term and scored five goals while assisting nine more for Tony Mowbray's side.

The starlet posted the clip of his latest goalscoring exploits in training onto his Instagram story, before it was picked up on Twitter to send Liverpool fans wild.

Supporters claimed Elliott was the "long-term replacement" for world-class superstar Mohamed Salah after seeing the video while others simply said "remember the name".

Liverpool will no doubt be very excited at the progress Elliott has made at Ewood Park this term and will look forward to welcoming him back in the summer and deploying his talents at Anfield next term.
