Harvey Elliott is back at Liverpool's AXA Training Centre in Kirkby after a successful spell out on loan at Blackburn.
The 18-year-old scored seven goals in 43 games in the Championship and will now hope to use the experience to press his claim for a place in Jurgen Klopp's plans next season.
Elliott posted pictures of him working out at Liverpool 's training centre in a full Nike training kit.
The teenager's return coincided with that of young defender Sepp van den Berg, yet neither player will be involved for the Reds in their final three Premier League games.
Premier League rules state that players can only feature again for their parent clubs following a return from a loan spell in 'exceptional circumstances'.
Such circumstances include when a team cannot name a full match-day squad without their returning loanees, but that will not apply for the Reds as they gear up for their last four games against West Brom, Burnley and Crystal Palace.
Players would also need to be on the club’s Squad List before being available for selection, something which can only be altered when the transfer window is open.
Any player returning on loan under the age of 21 is also ineligible to play for the remainder of the campaign.
Liverpool had been weighing up what's next for both players in the short-term.
Jurgen Klopp could hand them time off after a long season, or they could join in with training with their senior team-mates.
