The criticism faced by Darwin Nunez has been nothing short of ridiculous and it has been hard to ignore for both Liverpool fans and players.

Nunez's team-mates took to social media to express their happiness at the striker finding the back of the net in what was just his third appearance for the club.

Elliott, who set up one of Nunez's goals said: "Let’s hear them. Congratulations my friend (Darwin Nunez). Good win today!).
