Hartcliffe Way crash: Woman in hospital and man arrested after 'serious' e-scooter crash closes A4174

Police are appealing for witnesses after a 'serious injury collision' involving an e-scooter on Hartcliffe Way yesterday (May 19).

The rider of the e-scooter, a woman, was taken to hospital with serious injuries and a man was arrested in connection with the incident.

The A4174 Hartcliffe Way has been shut overnight near the Imperial Retail Park and at the Hengrove Way roundabout.

The incident is understood to have happened just before 7.30pm last night.

Avon and Somerset Police are conducting further enquiries at the scene while the road remains closed and have asked drivers to use alternative routes.

The police are now appealing for witnesses and motorists with dash cam footage.
