Hartal in Kallikkad today

A dawn-to-dusk hartal will be observed in Kallikkad grama panchayat on Thursday in protest against the provisions of the draft notification to declare Eco-sensitive Zone around the Neyyar and Peppara wildlife sanctuaries. Seven wards in the local body figure in the proposed zone. A hartal was observed in Amboori grama panchayat under the aegis of an action council on the issue recently.
