Hart Builders signed up for fifth project with Berwickshire Housing Association

Hart Builders has been appointed by Berwickshire Housing Association (BHA) to carry out the first phase of a £5.3 million housing development in Beanburn, Ayton.

It will be the fifth project to be delivered by Hart Builders for BHA and will bring the total number of homes they have delivered jointly to 129.

The 31 homes are due to be completed in summer next year and will provide a mix of bungalows, wheelchair accessible properties and three and four-bedroom family homes.

Hart Builders managing director Andy Mallice said:  “This development follows on from several successful projects we have delivered over the past four years for Berwickshire Housing Association. We are delighted to continue our strong working relationship with the Association, and designers Smith Scott Mullan and Harley Haddow, to bring 31 quality homes to the area.

“Hart Builders, as part of the Cruden Group, ensures that all developments support the local community, and on this development, we will be offering opportunities to local sub-contractors to ensure we maximise the benefits of the project for the local economy. We are also pleased to make a donation to the local primary school to help deliver improvements to their playground.”

BHA chief executive Helen Forsyth said: “We are delighted to appoint Hart Builders to deliver these new homes in Beanburn. The new development is part of BHA’s ongoing commitment to meet the demand for much-needed quality affordable housing in the area.”
