Perrie Edwards has been branded 'the Simon Cowell' of the group after just one episode of Little Mix's new talent show.
After its start date was delayed significantly by the coronavirus pandemic, The Search finally made its debut on BBC1 on Saturday night and sees the X Factor winning girl group hunt for an act to open for them on their Confetti tour next year.
Six very different groups will battle it out in the forthcoming live shows and the focus of episode 1 was finding potential members for the boyband.
And it didn't take long for South Shields singer Perrie to pull one of the auditionees up on their vocals.
The second lad into the The Search audition room was Lee and while the other three girls praised his cover of Tom Walker's Better Half of Me, Perrie told him: "There's a few things I would say about your diction than I'm not keen on because I feel like it's a little bit...it's that thing...the twang.
"I just feel like that little bit of pronunciation I'd like to just like...you know what I mean?"
She also helped to send another hopeful, Santino, packing when she told him: "To get through to the band room you need three yeses. I feel like compared to the other vocalists we've seen today, I just don't think it was vocally strong enough.
"So I'm so sorry, I'm going to say no."
Looking less than impressed at singer Adam's take on Make You Feel My Love she told him: "I know this sounds horrible but it's my pet peeve when people grit their jaw when they sing," before doing an impression of him.
And, while the Little Mix girls themselves label Jesy as the no nonsense judge it's Perrie who viewers are scared of. One tweeted: "perrie is so intimidating HELP," and another reacted: "Perrie is so intimidating please I would pass out if she looks at me that way."
