Harry Winks' transfer value revealed as Everton open talks with Tottenham amid Richarlison links

Harry Winks is one of a number of players who could be set to leave Tottenham this summer. The midfielder made 19 Premier League appearances last season, starting in just nine of those matches.

The 26-year-old struggled to get regular game time under Antonio Conte and when he was given the opportunity, failed to impress enough to replace his teammates in the regular XI. Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg started the campaign playing alongside Oliver Skipp.

After the youngster's injury and arrival of Rodrigo Bentancur, there was a smooth transition in partnership and Winks was still side-lined. In October, the midfielder was very honest about his feelings on his future at Tottenham.

"Listen, I love Tottenham, I’ve always made that clear, but I want to play football. And I want to play regular football," he admitted.

"The only way to play your best football, get momentum is when you’re playing regularly. Listen, I’m giving my all for the club, of course I am. They stuck by me, I stuck by them – and I want to play for Tottenham.

"But it is difficult when you get matches here and there, confidence is low and you don’t get that run of games. It is difficult," Winks added.

These comments were during Nuno Espirito Santo's short time at Spurs but unfortunately for the academy graduate, nothing much changed following Conte's arrival. Winks did put in some decent performances and one thing he can't be knocked for is his effort, is always giving 100%. But for a club that wants to be competing with the best, the 26-year-old's performances just aren't consistent enough and he doesn't make the required impact anymore.

Although Winks hasn't followed in teammate Steven Bergwijn's footsteps in expressing his desire to leave N17 this summer, it is seeming more clear that it will be the solution for him in this summer window. football.london understands that Everton attempted to sign the 26-year-old during the January window, the same month as Dele Alli's move.

Frank Lampard is believed to be an admirer of Winks but at the time, Conte wasn't keen on letting the academy graduate go because of his lack of midfield options. However, not only will the Italian have his three midfield options available when pre-season begins, Conte will now have Yves Bissouma to add to the list.

If the England international remained in north London, he is likely to have only slipped down the pecking order even further, with the Mali international's arrival and any other midfielder's Spurs sign. Therefore a move seems best for both parties and Everton could be Winks' next destination, with the Liverpool Echo reporting on Wednesday that the Toffees and Spurs have opened talks about a move for the midfielder.

According to CIES, the 26-year-old could be worth up to £12.9million, which would be a decent amount for Spurs to put towards other signings. They may not need to look too far to do this, with an Everton player already reportedly on Tottenham's radar.

football.london understands that Fabio Paratici is a fan of Richarlison and the Brazilian has been linked with a move to N17. The Lilywhites' interest in the 25-year-old hasn't come without competition, as Chelsea are seriously considering making a move for the striker and football.london understands that Thomas Tuchel is an admirer of the Brazilian.

Richarlison scored 10 goals in his 30 Premier League appearances last season and could be a strong addition to a Conte side that is in need of another striker as backup to Harry Kane. Another boost the centre-forward could hand Spurs is his ability to play across the front three, with the Everton man making seven appearances on the left wing in the last campaign.

This versatility would be beneficial to Spurs, who need to add depth to their squad as well as strengthen it. If Everton do want to secure a deal for Winks and Richarlison is a wanted man in N17, a swap deal could potentially be on the cards.

It would likely involve compromise from both sides, with talks needing to be had and money needing to be discussed, but it could be a deal that is beneficial to all involved.
