Harry Winks on celebrating Tottenham goals as a fan... and how long his viral tea clip took

Harry Winks says being a fan of Tottenham means it is difficult to contain his wild celebrations on the pitch when Spurs score.

The 24-year-old midfielder has developed a reputation for his passionate reactions to Spurs goals, notably after his effort against rivals West Ham on his first Premier League start.

Speaking to Rio Ferdinand and Jake Humphrey on BT Sport's Uefa Champions League throwback, Winks stated his celebrations are just natural instinct.

"Being a Spurs fan as well, my instinct is to go to the fans and celebrate with them, as one of them," Winks explained.

"When we score I feel it on the pitch as a player but also as a fan as well."

The Englishman also lifted the lid on his recent viral tea-making clip. Winks filmed himself casually volleying his tea bag into the mug without even a hint of a celebration this time.

Winks admitted that the trick was perhaps not as effortless as it seemed.

He said: "I'd love to say it was the first go but I think I was there for a good 45 minutes just filming it over and over again - I was determined.

"I had a couple of goes which were so close and I couldn't stop until I got it in."
