Harry Winks may finally get his Tottenham transfer wish despite Jose Mourinho's firm stance

Tottenham may have already made up their mind on the future of Harry Winks ahead of this summer.

The midfielder attracted plenty of attention last summer with both Everton and Valencia reportedly making a move to sign him ahead of this season.

But Tottenham decided they wanted to keep Winks around, rejecting all interest with Jose Mourinho keen to ensure he had depth in midfield with his side also in Europa League action for much of this season.

Though, that decision hasn't worked out particularly well for Winks, who has only made ten Premier League appearances so far this term and has featured 24 times across all competitions.

That lack of match action could lead Winks away from the club this summer, and it has been claimed he would like to make a move to La Liga, the 25-year-old having family connections to Spain.

The desire to play in Spain has been there for some time, according to reports, but he might finally get his wish this summer with the Mirror claiming Tottenham will 'listen to offers'.

It's claimed Tottenham are willing to part ways with Winks if the right offer comes in.

Winks is valued at between £15million and £20m, and there could be a transfer tussle for his signature with Atletico Madrid, Valencia and Sevilla all said to be interested.

The reported Tottenham stance is a big change from January when Mourinho refused to lose Winks amid interest from Valencia.

The Spurs boss said at the time: "What do I have to say to stop with this talk? I said already that he's going nowhere. When I say he's going nowhere, what more do you want me to say?

"He played the last matches. He didn't play the last one because it was a chance to let players like Gedson [Fernandes] get minutes.

"Tomorrow, he's selected again. If someone's talking to other clubs, I'd say don't waste your time."

Though, it's very much possible Mourinho's stance has changed with Tottenham likely to need to raise money for transfers ahead of spending this summer.
