Harry Winks linked with Valencia transfer as Alan Shearer makes Tottenham prediction

Here is your Tottenham Hotspur morning digest on Monday, January 4.

Valencia interested in Winks move

Spanish club Valencia are interested in signing Tottenham midfielder Harry Winks on loan this month, according to AS.

Winks was seemingly out-of-favour at Spurs at the start of the season, but the England international has started each of his team's last three games in all competitions.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Moussa Sissoko seem to be Jose Mourinho's preferred midfield partnership despite the 24-year-old's recent appearances.

Now, according to reports in Spain, Valencia are keen on bringing him to the Mestalla on a temporary deal until the end of the 2020/21 season.

As well as this, a report from Eurosport suggests that Winks would be open to a move to La Liga.

Former Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino appointed Paris St Germain head coach

Alli reacts to Pochettino PSG appointment

Dele Alli has reacted on Instagram to Mauricio Pochettino's appointment as Paris Saint-Germain's new manager.

The former Spurs boss was without a job since his sacking from the north London club at the end of 2019.

Alli, who has been out-of-favour under Mourinho this season, has been linked recently with a move to French side PSG and with Pochettino 's new position now confirmed, it's hardly surprising that the rumours have picked up pace.

Following the confirmation of the Argentine's new job, the Spurs midfielder has 'liked' an image posted by BT Sport revealing the news.

The 24-year-old could be the subject of plenty of interest this month, and Pochettino could look for a reunion with the England man.

Alli has featured just four times in the Premier League this season for Spurs.

Shearer makes Son and Kane prediction

Alan Shearer believes Son Heung-min and Harry Kane will "smash" his Premier League record.

Shearer and his former Blackburn Rovers strike partner Chris Sutton combined to score 13 goals across the 1994/95 formerly-named Premiership season.

However, Son and Kane have already equaled that this term, having played just 16 games so far and Shearer is unsurprisingly backing them to break the record.

Speaking on Match of the Day, the Premier League's all-time top scorer said: "My record is under threat? They’re going to smash it!

"That is elite. That is someone who is at the very top of his game. The understanding between Kane and Son is just unbelievable."
