Harry Wilson sends message to former Liverpool defender following Wembley glory

Harry Wilson has sent a message to former Liverpool team-mate Tom Brewitt after the defender won the FA Trophy on Sunday.

Brewitt, who spent a decade at the Academy before being released in 2017, came on in the 12th minute as AFC Fylde stunned Leyton Orient at Wembley.

The Lancashire outfit won the game 1-0 and the Welsh international sent a congratulatory message to the 22-year-old.

In a post to his Instagram story the Derby County loanee shared a picture of Brewitt lifting the cup.

The caption read: "The Brewquets" and included applauding hands emojis.

The playmaker will be hoping to replicate the ex-Middlesbrough man and win at Wembley next Monday as Derby take on Aston Villa in the Premier League play-off final.

Brewitt sent an encouraging response to Derby's No. 7 as he replied: "Your turn on Monday!"

In a separate post to social media the defender summed up his emotions, he wrote: "A day I’ll never forget. Winning a trophy at Wembley. What a performance lads!"
