Harry Wilson explains why he wore Liverpool jacket during Bournemouth match

Harry Wilson was pictured wearing a Liverpool overcoat during the Reds 2-1 win over Bournemouth on Saturday.

The young winger , who is on loan with the Cherries, was sat in the stands near to both dugouts as he was ineligible to face his parent club.

The Welsh international is currently enjoying a successful campaign out on loan with Eddie Howe's side, having scored six goals in 27 games after leaving Anfield temporarily for the third season in succession.

He explained to fans on Twitter today why he was wearing a Liverpool jacket during the match.

The 22-year-old wrote: "Fantastic effort from the boys yesterday and brilliant backing from the travelling Bournemouth fans.

"Deserved more from the game but we keep fighting.

"I'm aware TV footage of me in an LFC coat has angered a few people - honestly, it was nothing more than I was cold and a member of the LFC staff offered me a jacket in a moment I couldn't disturb the Bournemouth guys working the game.

"Can't wait for next Saturday to be back playing."

Wilson also admitted before the match yesterday that he will have a decision to make about his Liverpool future this summer, though it would have to wait until after UEFA EURO 2020.

"I feel I have got that decision to make in the summer," Wilson told BT Sport .

"I feel my last two years of loans have been good. I feel this one has been positive for me as well, finally in the Premier League which is what I have worked towards. "In the summer I will be concentrating on Wales [at Euro 2020] but once that's done with, I may have a decision to make."
