Harry Styles wears HEELS and pearl earring at Met Gala in rare red carpet appearance

Harry Styles has embraced the theme of 'Camp' at the Met Gala 2019 by donning heels, a pearl earring and semi-sheer black lace outfit.

The former One Direction singer turned actor embraced the fashion event at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and sent fans into meltdown with his 'out of character' look.

This year Harry is one of the co-chairs of the event and the 25-year-old was one of the star attractions on the red carpet, arriving with Gucci designer, Alessandro Michele.

The tattooed singer was all over the lace look with ruched semi-sheer sleeves and fluting that brought a hint of the new romantics, if they had been supplanted in the Victorian age.

The Gucci outfitters decided that it would be 'too obvious' dressing Harry in sequins and plumped for a different feel entirely.
