Harry Styles spends Christmas holidays with mum and sister in UK after Olivia Wilde split

Harry Styles was pictured enjoying Christmas with his family as he returned to the UK for the holidays.

Styles, 28, reunited with mum Anne Twist and sister Gemma, 32, for a relaxing festive break back home, following the end of his tour and recent split from Olivia Wilde.

In photos posted by Styles’ mum on Wednesday, the artist was seen smiling beside his family in a field during a winter walk, whilst wrapped in a blue scarf and yellow North Face jacket.

The family’s tasty Christmas dinner was captured in another snap, revealing an array of freshly cooked holiday dishes including macaroni pie, pigs in blankets and Brussel sprouts.

Another photo showed Styles’ mum Anne’s towering Christmas tree up in her home, which just about touched the ceiling, decorated with red baubles and lashings of tinsel.

Styles’ travels back to the UK come after what has been a hectic year for the star.

His relationship with actress and director Wilde, 38, received much media attention these past 12 months, up until their reported split in November.

The pair began dating in 2021 after Styles was cast as the male lead in Wilde’s second-directed film Don’t Worry Darling, released this year.

Alongside his successful US tour and lead debut, Styles featured in the film My Policeman, alongside actor Emma Corrin and David Dawson, and starred in several Gucci campaigns in 2022.

The Adore You singer also ran into backlash this year, as he was accused of ‘queer-baiting’, referring to the marketing strategy of companies or individuals who hint at same-sex attraction, but do not depict this in real life.

Styles addressed these accusations as he spoke to Rolling Stone this summer.

He said: “I’ve never talked about my life away from work publicly and found that it’s benefited me positively.

“There’s always going to be a version of a narrative, and I think I just decided I wasn’t going to spend the time trying to correct it or redirect it in some way.”

Styles shared his last post for this year on 15 December, which showed him standing in an empty arena, after reaching the end of his tour.

He captioned: “2022 changed my life. I can’t begin to thank all of you who supported me through it, I’ll never forget it.

“I hope your end of year is filled with happiness and calm. Love you all. See you next year. H.”
