Harry Styles’ rumoured new girlfriend Taylor Russell talks about the cost of love and relationships

Actress Taylor Russell has given an insight into what she is like in a relationship.

The star, 29, who is rumoured to be Harry Styles’ new girlfriend, spoke about the internal battle she has with opening up fully to another person and also the “tax” that comes with being in a meaningful relationship.

Appearing on the cover of issue 16 of The Face magazine, she told the publication: “I’m not… I’m never going to be volunteering all of my feelings. I’m somebody who, annoyingly, complicatedly, needs things to be asked and pulled from me to talk about it.

“You are going to be hurt – that’s the tax. The tax on a real relationship is the reality that you will get hurt, you will [have] grief, something will be lost at some point and that’s OK. It’s worth it.”

Going on to describe love as her drug of choice, she added: “I mean, love, a lot of the time, feels like a drug, you feel so insane.”

The Canadian model, who appears in Netflix drama Lost in Space, is currently starring on stage in The Effect at the National Theatre in London, which runs until October 7.

The Lucy Prebble penned play opened earlier this month with Grammy Award-winning singer Styles, 29, in attendance for the opening night.

He was later seen embracing Russell at the afterparty, where he introduced her to long-time friend James Corden.

In-between shows, she and the Watermelon Sugar hit-maker have been spotted wandering around Soho together with Styles said to be “smitten”.

“Harry finds Taylor absolutely gorgeous and dynamic,” a source told Life & Style.

The insider went on to claim that the former One Direction star “just wants to spend all of his free time with Taylor” amid his break from touring.

They added: “He’s all about the sweet gestures, like having flowers waiting for her backstage at the theatre”.
