Harry Styles fans were sent into a frenzy by new photos which emerged of him holidaying in Italy with a new hairstyle.
The One Direction heartthrob has had his trademark curly hair cut into a shorter and style worn straighter and with a fringe.
His new 90s-style look was unveiled to the world on Twitter by a fan whose parents spotted him and took selfies with the singing superstar.
Sharing a photo of Harry, 25, posing with her dad she said: "Soooo my dad just met harry in Italy...., cannot f***ing believe my eyes," she tweeted.
Posting the next selfie she wrote: "Here’s another, with my mum, he was so sweet and kind. What an angel."
"Love u thank you for being so lovely to my parents," she added to the What Makes You Beautiful hitmaker.
"Is that actually him?" gasped another fan.
"Omg I barely recognize him," said another.
And another praised: "Love that he always changes his look Thanks for sharing this photo."
Other fans commented that Harry, who was wearing a boho-style cream lace top in the snaps, now resembles his fellow One Direction star Louis Tomlinson.
"He looks so much like Louis now," said one.
Harry, from Holmes Chapel, has stripped off for the September issue of US magazine Rolling Stone with a no holds barred interview about "sex, psychedelics and the secrets of stardom".
On the cover, a topless Harry can be seen showing off his many tattoos while smiling for the camera.
In May he cut a striking figure as he embraced the ‘camp’ theme at this year’s Met Gala in an outfit which consisted of heels, a pearl earring and an all-black Gucci outfit.
He wore a sheer blouse complete with ruffles and lace, which left his tattooed torso visible, and completing the look he added rings, a drop earring and painted fingernails.
