Harry Styles invites Ukrainian refugees to Love On Tour concert in Poland

Harry Styles invited three Ukrainian refugees to his concert in Warsaw, Poland over the weekend.

The As It Was singer teamed up with the International Rescue Committee (IRC) to invite the fans to attend his show at Warsaw’s PGE Narodowy Stadium on Sunday.

Maryna, her daughter Daria, 13, and her friend Daria Kathina fled Ukraine in 2022 in the wake of Russia’s invasion.

The mother-of-two, who dreams of becoming a tram driver, and the teen now live in Sosnowiec, Poland and are starting to rebuild their lives with the support of IRC’s Step to Work project.

Maryna, her 13-year-old daughter Daria and her friend Daria Kathina saw him perform on Sunday (IRC-Weronika Rzezutka)

Speaking about their gratitude for the generous offer, Maryna shared, “Since being forced to leave our home in Ukraine last year, it’s been a challenge adjusting to life in a new country – especially for my daughter, Daria, and my 10-year-old son.

“I’m so grateful to Harry Styles and the IRC, which has supported me to pursue my dream career in Poland, for giving us the chance to forget our worries for a night and sing and dance at the concert.”

The family are among almost six million Ukrainians who have been forced to flee their homes and seek safety in another country.

The IRC have worked to support more than 94,000 Ukrainian refugees in Poland, and many others across Europe, the UK and the US, to rebuild their lives.

Meanwhile, the British singer is coming to the end of his Love On Tour global tour, which first kicked off in Las Vegas back in September 2021.

The tour has consisted of seven legs spreading over the course of 22 months and now he is set to travel to Germany, Austria, Spain and Portugal before his final show in Reggio Emilia, Italy, on July 22.

He will next play Frankfurt, Germany this Wednesday and Thursday before performing in Vienna, Austria on Saturday.
