Harry Styles interviewed Timothee Chalamet – and the internet lost its mind

A profile interview with Timothée Chalamet conducted by Harry Styles has surfaced onto the internet today (1 November), leading to an explosion of excitement on social media.

The interview was posted by I-D Magazine in conjunction with Chalamet's new film Beautiful Boy, in which he stars opposite Steve Carell.

While celebrity meets celebrity interviews often go awry, this one seemingly marks an exception with many praising Style for his interview technique as well as Chalamet's willingness to throw questions back to his interviewer.

The two bond over finding fame at early stages of their lives and discuss their respective experiences working with Christopher Nolan (“I was so thrilled to work with him - he’s my favourite filmmaker,” said Chalamet, who worked with the filmmaker on 2014 film Interstellar. Styles appeared in 2017 war thriller Dunkirk).

They also find time to talk about Chalamet's breakout role in Luca Guadagnino's Call Me By Your Name (which we ranked as our best film of 2017). During the interview, Chalamet reveals that Armie Hammer was behind one of the film's most memorable moments and that he struggles to eat peaches without thinking of that scene.

Both individuals are equally as adored by legions of fans, and naturally, Twitter was awash with messages of intense excitement.

Beautiful Boy is released in the UK on 18 January.
