Harry Styles, Florence Pugh and Chris Pine are among a group of actors having to quarantine following a positive Covid-19 test on the set of Don’t Worry Darling.
New Line Studio confirmed that it had temporarily suspended production on the forthcoming film, which is being directed by Booksmart’s Olivia Wilde.
Also among the cast are KiKi Layne, Gemma Chan and Nick Kroll, with Wilde also appearing in a supporting role.
According to a report in Deadline, the positive coronavirus test appeared during a routine testing.
While none of the principal cast tested positive, the infected person reportedly worked in close enough proximity that a production hiatus was deemed necessary.
The cast and crew will isolate for two full weeks before filming will be allowed to resume.
Filming on Don’t Worry Darling had only started last month. Per another report in Deadline, the film is described as a “psychological thriller set in an isolated, utopian community in the 1950s California desert”.
Don’t Worry Darling follows The Batman as the latest Hollywood film to suffer delays as the result of a coronavirus diagnosis.
Filming on the DC Comics adaptation was briefly suspended after a cast and crew-member – widely reported to be the film’s star, Robert Pattinson – tested positive for Covid-19.
