Wembley Stadium relaxes rules for Harry Styles gig during 37C heatwave

Harry Styles fans heading to his next gig at Wembley Stadium this week have been warned to stay hydrated and wear loose clothing as scorching temperatures grip the capital.

The former One Direction singer takes to the stage on Friday - when a heatwave is expected to peak at around 37C in the capital.

Temperatures are forecast to reach 35C in Wembley at 5pm when the doors open and are expected to remain high as the star takes to the stage at 8.15pm, following support act Shania Twain.

Fans have been instructed not to arrive too early to avoid waiting outside in the sun.

Guests have also been told that metal or hard plastic water bottles will be allowed inside the stadium, in a break from usual venue rules.

These can then be filled at one of the free refillable water stations located inside.

Meanwhile, bottled water sold across all bars will have a 50% reduction in price.

A message from the stadium to all guests attending the show also urges them to take regular breaks in shaded areas and to wear sun cream.

Free sun cream will be available from all information points inside the stadium.

Fans are also advised to avoid consuming too much alcohol and instead stay hydrated with water, and are also asked to adhere to the advice on screens and information points around the stadium.

Friday’s show will be the seventh of a 12-night residency at the London venue – a bid to beat Coldplay’s record of 10 performances there last year.

The string of shows is poised to smash the record for the most performances by any artist in a single year at the national stadium.

Styles will also beat pop superstar Taylor Swift’s record for the most concerts performed at Wembley by a solo artist during a single concert run.

She performed eight shows at the venue as part of the Eras Tour in 2024.

Styles will perform his final show at Wembley on July 4.
