Harry Styles causes Brits 'meltdown' on Twitter as he mentions One Direction in winner's speech

Harry Styles caused a near meltdown on Twitter on Saturday night when he mentioned every single member of One Direction in one of his three winner's speeches at the Brits.

Going into this year's event, bookies had Harry, fresh from his Album of the Year win at the Grammys, as big favourite to win at least three of the categories he was nominated in and, after winning a first for Best Pop/RnB, Harry was back in stage at the O2 Arena in London to claim the Artist of the Year accolade.

And, it was in his speech for his second Brit award of the night, that he shouted out each of his 1D bandmates. The and went their separate ways in 2016, six years after shooting to fame on The X Factor; but Harry showed that the lads are still very much in his thoughts, when he said: "I want to thank my mum for signing me up for X Factor, without telling me. So I literally wouldn't be without you."

He continued: "I want to thank Niall, Louis, Liam and Zayn," with his mention of the One Direction boys prompting screams from the audience, as Harry added: "I wouldn't be here without you either. Thank you so much"

That moment sent 1D fans on Twitter crazy, with one reacting: "Harry Edward Styles thanking the members of One Direction in his Artist of the Year speech in the year 2023 just made my whole, previously very sh**ty, day drastically better" and a second tweeting: "harry just .. thanked one direction .. named all of them even zayn … the world is healing"

Harry also took time to say he was 'aware of his privilege' at the Brits, having w a category with no female representation and mentioning Becky Hill, Florence and the Machine, Mabel, Charli XCX and Rina Sawayama.
