Harry Styles calls Blue Peter gold badge his ‘proudest achievement’ after record Wembley residency

Harry Styles has declared receiving a Blue Peter gold badge, awarded for his musical career and inspiring young people, as potentially his "proudest achievement".

The 32-year-old singer, a childhood viewer of the programme, said: "I grew up watching Blue Peter and I never thought I would get one of these… this might be my proudest achievement."

He then addressed fans, adding: "If you are watching Blue Peter, I wish you luck in all your future endeavours, keep dreaming and treat people with kindness."

Styles was presented with his badge by Blue Peter presenter Shini Muthukrishnan backstage at his record-breaking 12th Wembley Stadium show.

Previous recipients of the gold badge include Madonna, Ed Sheeran and Sir Paul McCartney.

A special episode of Blue Peter filmed on location at Wimbledon, which also shows Styles being awarded his badge, will air on Friday at 5pm on CBBC.

The former One Direction star, 32, finished the London leg of his Together, Together tour on Saturday night during which he performed 12 shows.

The Grammy-winning singer has been recognised with a Guinness World Record for the longest residency by a musician at Wembley during a single run.

Styles began the residency on June 12 during a tour for his fourth studio album, Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally.

Originally announced as a six-night run, demand led to the addition of six more shows for the UK leg of the tour.

Styles overtook the previous record of 10 Wembley Stadium shows, set by Coldplay during their Music Of The Spheres World Tour in 2025.

The singer and the whole tour crew were presented with the certificate onstage by official Guinness World Records adjudicator Will Munford, who called the residency an “extraordinary achievement”.

“Harry Styles’ record-breaking 12-date run is a testament to the scale, ambition and cultural impact of his live performances, as well as the incredible connection he has with his fans,” he said.

Styles will go on to perform in Sao Paulo, Mexico City, New York City and Melbourne, with the tour set to wrap up in Sydney on December 13.
