Harry Styles' BRITs suit shared second powerful message in Caroline Flack tribute

Harry Styles proudly wore a badge during the BRIT awards that revealed a powerful message that could have been a nod to Caroline Flack.

It was during his many outfit changes throughout the star-studded awards ceremony that the 26-year-old singer donned a statement yellow suit with purple tie.

What was most striking about the outfit, however, was the tiny badge that was attached to his left lapel.

In line with his heart, the badge read “treat people with kindness.”

Although the statement comes from his new album, the powerful message resonates with the memory of his former beau Caroline, who posted a similar message on Instagram in December.

“In a world where you can be anything, be kind,” the late TV presenter had previously told followers.

Harry made sure that his former flame was remembered during the BRITs, and there were several touching tributes throughout the evening following the shock news of her suicide.

The singer looked sombre as he made his entrance at London's 02 Arena, just three days after the tragic news was confirmed by Caroline's family.

As he walked the red carpet, he wore a black ribbon pinned on his suit which is believed to be a symbol of mourning and remembrance.

His second subtle statement came later in the evening after he took to the BRITs stage for a shot stopping performance.

Harry and Caroline had been close friends and were previously linked romantically.

Caroline was 31 and presenting The Xtra Factor when she started dating Harry, then 17, a contestant on the main show with One Direction.

The presenter even once admitted she knew Harry had a crush on her before she pursued a relationship with him.

They are believed to have parted ways back in 2012.

News of Caroline’s tragic passing, aged just 40 years-old, came to light just days before the BRITs were expected to get underway.

The much-loved presenter’s suicide shook the showbiz world and caused an outpouring of tributes following her death.

In true showbiz style, the show must go on, but bosses ensured that her memory was not forgotten.

After the credits rolled for the BRITs show, which saw presenters Clara Amfo and Alice Levine interview the celebs, a black and white photo of Caroline appeared on the screen.

The show on ITV also began with a tribute to Caroline, as host Jack Whitehall sent his condolences to her friends and family.

"She was a kind and vibrant person with an infectious sense of fun," said Jack.

"She will be sorely missed."
