Harry Styles applauded for his Caroline Flack Brits tribute that many missed

Harry Styles acknowledged Caroline Flack's death at the Brits with a tribute that went un-noticed by many people.

Former One Direction star Harry dated Caroline in 2011 and went ahead with his performance at Tuesday night's ceremony at the O2 Arena, days after his ex-girlfriend had been found dead at her London home at the age of 40.

He stepped onto the red carpet wearing a black ribbon on his suit and then moved many people watching at home to tears when he took to the stage to deliver a spine tingling performance of Falling from his album Fine Line.

Screen-shotting a picture of Harry singing, one fan posted: "This is Harry Styles in the lake of my tears while performing Falling on #Brits2020 phenomenal," and another reacted: ". @HarryStyles’ performance of Falling at The BRIT AWARDS is simply mesmerizing. Stop making me cry!!!!"

But, away from the Brits stage, 26-year-old Harry also made another gesture to Caroline, with a badge that he wore on his eye-catching yellow suit. The badge featured the words 'treat people with kindness’

The day after the Brits, an inquest opened into Caroline's death, when a coroner confirmed that the former Love Island host died of hanging.

The inquest has been adjourned until August while the coroner gathers the post-mortem report, toxicology tests and other evidence.

Another tweeted: " outfit accessories are so poignant and such a subtle but important tribute to . peep the ‘treat people with kindness’ badge."
