Harry Redknapp has revealed that he is 'really pleased' after it was reported that his son Jamie Redknapp is set to become a dad again.
The 74-year-old former footballer, who is already a granddad of five, admitted that it was 'exciting times' for the Redknapp family amid news there are going to welcome a new addition.
His remarks came shortly after it was reported that Jamie and his girlfriend Frida Andersson were expecting their first child together.
Speaking to talkRADIO earlier today, Harry admitted that he was thrilled with the news and is looking forward to welcoming his sixth grandchild.
"Yeah I'm really pleased, it's good news. So looking forward to that and it's exciting times," he told Julia Hartley-Brewer.
He went on: "I enjoy spending time with the grandkids, I love it, I really do. Going to watch them play football and sport... I love being there and turning up and watching the kids and taking them to football on Saturday.

During his interview, Harry also revealed that he preferred not to get too involved when he's watching his grandkids play sports.
"I stand out the way, I listen to the parents shouting at their kids, that is not good. Just let them enjoy playing,” Harry added.
Frida, who has been dating Jamie for around 18 months, is believed to be three months into her pregnancy. It will be the fifth child that the model is welcoming.
Jamie - who split from Louise Redknapp in 2018 after almost 20 years of marriage - will become a dad for the third time. He also shares sons Charles, 16, and Beau, 12, with the former musician, however, it is unclear whether Louise was informed earlier about their rumoured baby news.
Frida confirmed the happy news last night and they have been inundated with messages from congratulations from their friends and family. The Swedish model responded to fans on social media and thanked them for their kind messages.
According to The Sun, Frida is expected to give birth to the couple's first child in November of this year.

An insider told the publication: "Jamie and Frida are absolutely delighted.
"They’ve been virtually inseparable in lockdown, and their relationship has gone from strength to strength.
"The couple started telling their nearest and dearest last week. Jamie’s been telling pals he’s really excited to be a dad again — less excited about the sleepless nights, and nappy-changing."
