Harry Redknapp pretends to enjoy isolation date night - but fans spot epic romantic fail

Harry Redknapp has broken a big rule - even while keeping safe inside when self isolating.

The legendary football manager wasn’t about to let closed restaurants get in the way of date night with his beloved wife Sandra.

But fans were quick to notice a romantic no-no - even after he managed to bag some precious pasta with all the shelves empty.

The I’m A Celebrity star usually spends Saturday evenings wining and dining his wife near his plush Sandbanks home and like everyone else, the coronavirus crisis forced a re-think.

But the former Tottenham and West Ham boss broke the unofficial date night code - no mobile phones at the table.

Sandra took a home photo of the King of the Jungle just before they tucked in at their stunning south coast pad.

He urged everyone to stay safe - even if he did tell his Instagram followers to “spend time with their family and friends” when they should be social distancing.

The post was liked nearly 85,000 times but some were quick to spot another slip up - and gave him a ticking off!

“Phone at the table!?” one teased while others were quick to pick up on his advice saying he should perhaps edit his comment.

Football pundit son Jamie won’t be paying a visit, writing: “See you when this is all over.”

Harry may have wanted to lie low for a while anyway.

He and 2020 Jungle star Caitlyn Jenner were caught up in a TV sting for pocketing huge fees to plug a fake charity.

Channel 4’s Dispatches approached booking agents after setting up a bogus charity called Cleaning Up Plastic Pollution in Africa (CUPPA).

Agency MN2S said he would post on Instagram for £15,000 and do a photoshoot for £5,000, so the reporters paid £20,000 for both.

A snap of the star, 73, in a CUPPA T-shirt and cap was later posted, saying: “I’m proud to support CUPPA.”

His lawyer said: “He would never knowingly charge for regular charity work. He agreed to payment after being informed the charity was supported by private investors.

"He was paid less than the sum quoted.”
