Manchester City have all-but won the Premier League title, according to former Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp.
City produced a brilliant second-half performance to beat Liverpool 4-1 on Sunday afternoon. They now sit 10 points clear of the defending champions, five points clear of any other team in the division, and they have a game in hand on all of the top six.
City have won their last 14 games in all competitions, have a tremendous defensive record, conceding just 14 all season, and are in ominous form at present.
And Redknapp duly believes that Pep Guardiola and his players have wrapped up the title already.
"The title race is over," said Redknapp when speaking ahead of the Betfair Hurdle in a call with Great British Racing. "It’s Man City all the way - game over. They look different class this season, I just can’t see anyone catching them and they were sensational against Liverpool.
"I thought it was a two-horse race at the start of the year between Liverpool and Man City. But Liverpool can’t give a 10-point start away to Man City and they just look at the top of their game at the moment.
"Manchester United have done well this season, but I can’t seem them catching Man City."
On United, Redknapp does believe they will finish in the top four, though Spurs, Liverpool, Chelsea and Leicester City will also be in the mix.
"Tottenham have had a difficult year. I still think they have a fantastic squad and a good group of players," he added. "It was a good win against West Brom and I think they could push for the top four.
"They have a brilliant manager and whilst their form has taken a little dip, Harry Kane coming back on Sunday and scoring shows how important he is for the team and he could maybe lead them to a top-four finish.
"At the moment the top four will probably be Man City, Liverpool, Manchester United and then either Leicester, Chelsea or Tottenham in my opinion."
United currently sit second, five points behind City and five clear of Liverpool. They still have to play both during the final stretch of the season and will host Leicester in May.
Given their fixtures, United's top-four fate is very much in their hands, while if they win the Manchester derby, they will be hopeful of hauling in City should Guardiola's team fail to maintain their irrepressible current form.
