Harry Redknapp has issued a warning to his nephew Frank Lampard as he prepares to begin his Premier League managerial reign at Chelsea this weekend.
Lampard has replaced Maurizio Sarri at Stamford Bridge ahead of the 2019/20 season after spending last season in charge of Derby County in the Championship.
Chelsea have been restricted this summer due to their transfer ban with only Christian Pulisic and Mateo Kovacic heading to the club on pre-existing deals.
Eden Hazard has departed for Real Madrid in a major blow to the Blues and Redknapp admits that it will not be easy for Lampard in his first season at the Bridge.
“It’s going to be a tough season for Frank.
"It’s great to see him get the opportunity at Chelsea and I’m sure he’ll do well in the long term, but they’ve lost their best player in Hazard.
"He’s got a big job and it’s going to be a tough year. If they make the top four, and I think they can finish fourth, it’ll be a big achievement.”
