Harry Redknapp has Notts County wish as Magpies chase Football League return

Harry Redknapp feels Notts County have a "decent chance" of returning to the Football League via the play-offs and says they are "great" club.

The former West Ham and Spurs boss was talking to BBC Radio Nottingham as the Magpies prepare to fight for promotion to League Two.

Notts booked their place in the play-offs for a second consecutive season with a 3-0 win at home to Weymouth last weekend.

The only matter to decide now is who they will face in the quarter-final with a point against Bromley at the weekend in the last game of the campaign enough to book fifth place in the table a home tie.

And Redknapp says he would love it if the Magpies could return to the EFL after their relegation in 2019.

"They've got a decent chance," he said.

"It will be tough because there are some decent teams in the play-offs.

"But Notts County will be one of the strongest for sure.

"It would be great to see them get back.

"They should be in the Football League. It's a great, historic, football club. They should be playing league football."
