Former Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has laughed at Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek's wage.
Loftus-Cheek is understood to be heading to Fulham ahead of tonight's 11pm deadline.
The Cottagers, who have endured a disappointing start to their first season back in the Premier League, have reportedly agreed a deal with Chelsea to sign the 24-year-old on a season-long loan.
That's despite suggestions Loftus-Cheek's wages could be an issue and former Spurs and Portsmouth boss Redknapp had a chuckle on Sky Sports when discussing the numbers.
“They said a slight stumbling block for Fulham was his wages," he said. "A slight stumbling block? £150,000-a-week!"
"How many games has he played at Chelsea? It’s scary, no wonder the game’s in a state.
"I would think that Chelsea would want them to pay half of it.”
Loftus-Cheek signed a new five-year contract with Chelsea in 2019 but made just seven league appearances for Chelsea last season.
He has made just one so far this season and it's expected he will be allowed to leave for more regular football ahead of tonight's deadline with a deal reportedly in place.
