Harry Redknapp awkwardly joked his son Jamie wouldn't get divorced after competing on Strictly.
Jamie finally caved to say he would be up for trying his hand at Strictly Come Dancing four years after his now-ex wife Louise landed second place in the 2016 series.
The retired footballer was spurred on by his dad making fun of him for having "no rhythm" on the dance floor.
His former football manager dad, 73, had no qualms pointing out his single son, 46, wouldn't be getting a divorce if he went on the show.
Harry joked: "One thing's for sure you won't be getting divorced if you go on there."
Jamie urged his dad to keep the chat light-hearted when they held their discussion for Redknapp's Home Fixture.
He said: "Keep it light, dad!"
Shockwaves went through the showbiz world when Sky Sports pundit Jamie and Louise's 19-year marriage broke down.
Reports claimed the singer filed for divorce from Jamie just days after her Strictly tour wrapped up in March 2017.
Louise had waltzed her way to the final with her partner Kevin Clifton in the 2016 series.
They narrowly lost out on the Glitter Ball trophy to BBC sports presenter Ore Oduba.
Now all these years later Jamie seemed to have a change of heart about dancing himself as he confirmed he would give the show a whirl.
He said: "My dad's challenged me and said I've got no rhythm has actually got me thinking I might be up for it."
Jamie has two sons Charles, 15, and Beau, 11, with his ex-wife Louise.
The exes, who tied the knot in 1998, cemented their status as a power couple in the showbiz world for 19 years.
But their marriage wasn't meant to last as they called it quits in 2017.
