Harry Potter star Bonnie Wright announces she's pregnant with first child

Harry Potter actress Bonnie Wright, who played Ginny Weasley in the popular film franchise, has announced she is pregnant with her first child.

The actress is expecting her first child with her husband Andrew Lococo.

Bonnie, 31, announced the happy news as she posted two photos of herself and her hubby Andrew posing with her bump.

In one sweet image, Bonnie is standing in front of her husband as she cradles her bump, while another shows Andrew grasping Bonnie's bump with two hands.

As she shared the happy news, Bonnie wrote in the caption: "We’re having a baby! So excited to share this beautiful land with them.

"What a wild and humbling journey pregnancy is, transforming to make space for new life. Andrew and I can’t wait to meet our baby later this year and become parents

"It feels like they’re coming to say hello in the little rainbow orb across my belly".

James Phelps, who played her brother Fred Weasley in the hit Harry Potter movies wrote: "Congratulations".

"First Harry and now Ginny… I’m old, congratulations," commented another fan.

Just last month the actress gushed about the "best day of my life" after confirming she's tied the knot with boyfriend Andrew Lococo.

She shared a clip of the happy couple showing off their wedding rings while they relaxed around a pool.

Alongside the upload, she wrote: "Yesterday was the best day of my life thanks to my husband!!"

Bonnie showcased her stunning new piece of jewellery as a dark blue square diamond sat beautifully in her gold band.

James Phelps simply commented with a number of party emojis while fellow Harry Potter actress Scarlet Hefner, who starred as Pansy Parkinson, penned: "Congratulations to you both! @thisisbwright."

While the official length of Bonnie and Andrew's relationship is unknown, the pair first shared snaps together on social media in September 2020.

In a February vlog on YouTube she revealed how they had moved in together after she left her Los Angeles base and moved in with her beau in San Diego.

She said: "Andrew and I had been going back and forth between these two cities for a long time, so we were ready to live in the same place.

"This is Andrew's house, which is now our house. He has lived here for 10 years [and] has a beautiful garden. He's looked after it very well."

Bonnie was recently reunited with her Harry Potter co-stars for the HBO Special Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return To Hogwarts.

Speaking about the special to US Weekly, she confessed she had wished the storylines on the films had delved deeper into Ginny's relationship with Harry.

Fellow Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe recently became a dad for the first time with his partner Erin Darke.

The Harry Potter star and his long-term girlfriend were pictured taking their newborn for a walk in New York City on Monday this week.

Daniel, 33, kept a low profile as he wore a mask and baseball cap while pushing a blue pram, as he wore a hoodie and grey jeans.

New mum Erin, 38, also kept it casual as she wore jeans and a green coat, as well as a mask which was propped under her chin.

The private couple met in 2012 on the set of film Kill Your Darlings, and earlier this year confirmed they were expecting a child.
