Harry Potter's famous Hogwarts Express train visits Glasgow today - here are the stations and times

The world-famous Hogwarts Express train will pass though the city today.

The locomotive and carriages from 'The Jacobite' train made famous by the Harry Potter films will be travelling through Drumchapel and Westerton this evening.

Potter fans will have the chance to see the iconic train as it travels from Fort William to its winter base at Carnforth in Lancashire.

The journey will mark the end of The Jacobite's summer season which sees it take passengers along the West Highland rail line between Fort William and Mallaig, reports The Herald.

The train features in several of the Harry Potter films, with scenes filmed at the Glenfinnan Viaduct, which overlooks Loch Shiel and the Jacobite monument.

The viaduct has now become a popular tourist attraction.

  • Dumbarton East – 1731
  • Bowling – 1737
  • Kilpatrick – 1741
  • Dalmuir – 1744
  • Singer – 1753
  • Drumry – 1756
  • Drumchapel – 1800
  • Westerton – 1804
