Harry Potter Platform 9 ¾ tour coming to popular Dundrum shopping centre

Harry Potter fans get ready, the Platform 9 ¾ tour is coming to a popular Dublin shopping centre.

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, the iconic prop will be in Dundrum Town Centre from November 5-7.

The installation will allow fans to recreate the moment when Harry first made it on to the magical platform, by running through a magical brick wall in London’s King’s Cross station, before taking the 11 o’clock train to Hogwarts, which it did every year on September 1.

The trolley is a symbol of the gateway between the ‘Muggle’ and wizarding world and it's been serving as a symbol of the Harry Potter legacy for the last two decades. Now Dublin can experience the magic too.

To mark the milestone anniversary a replica trolley will head to the south side. Muggles, witches and wizards alike will be able to get a photo of them appearing to run through the wall.

And if you can't make the Dublin tour, it will be in Belfast Lanyon Place Station from 29–31 October.

As part of the anniversary celebrations Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone will be returning to Irish cinemas on 29th October, with Movies at Dundrum cinema additionally hosting special screenings of all the Harry Potter films across the weekend of November 6 and 7.
