"Harry Potter: A History of Magic," an exhibition showcasing the incredible wizarding world imagined by author J.K. Rowling, opened Saturday at the Tokyo Station Gallery in Tokyo's Chiyoda Ward.
The exhibition, organized by the museum, the British Library and The Yomiuri Shimbun, features about 140 items related to the globally famous series, including materials related to magic, spells, herbology and astronomy.
Rare treasures, such as an alchemy manuscript considered to be Rowling's source of inspiration for "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone," and original drafts and drawings by the author herself are also on display.
