Harry Potter fans can try out butterbeer at Edinburgh cafe

It's the famous fictional tipple straight from the pages of Harry Potter novels.

Delicious butterbeer was served up to wizards and witches in Hogsmeade and is described in the books as tasting "a little bit like less-sickly butterscotch".

Now an Edinburgh cafe has conjured up its very own version of the magic drink for Harry Potter fans to try - and it looks delicious.

Spoon, situated in Edinburgh's Old Town, has recreated the magic cocktail with tasty ingredients.

It features a hints of butterscotch, ginger with a cream soda foam served up in a tankard just like the films.

Launching the tipple on Facebook, the bar wrote: "Attention Potterheads! Get your hand on our new Harry Potter inspired cocktail/mocktail Butterbeer special at Spoon!

"Inspired by the the boy who lived's favourite drink, this cocktail has hints of butterscotch, ginger with a cream soda foam.

"Get yourself giddy like the free elf you are."

The drink is now being served up in Spoon in a alcoholic or mocktail version, so get yourself down there and give it a try.
