Harry Potter fans can sneak into the Slytherin common room in the Studio Tour

Harry Potter fans will know that Slytherin is the house which hosts some of the greatest (and most evil) wizards of all time.

But now, some of dark magic's secrets are set to be revealed, as the Slytherin common room opens its doors at the Warner Bros. Studio Tour London - The Making of Harry Potter.

Unlike Harry and his friends, you won't need to drink Polyjuice Potion in order to sneak through.

Instead, muggles can get into the common room and explore the 25-foot-high set which features an imposing fireplace, the sofas where Ron's transformation hilariously wore off in a memorable scene, and heaps more authentic props.

Discover the hidden secrets that went into creating this dungeon-esque room, of course featuring Slytherin's iconic green and silver colour scheme.

Oh, and look out for the door leading to the Chamber of Secrets...

The common room will open to daring muggles from April - and it won't be the only Slytherin offering.

In fact, the whole Studio Tour is being taken over by the dark magic house with a special season that's a Celebration of Slytherin.

We're talking the green banners taking over the Great Hall, to celebrate a Slytherin win of the House Cup, heaps of the original costumes which belonged to the Malfoy family, as well as a delve into the world of Tom Riddle and his evolution into Voldemort, including how this was subtly portrayed in the costumes.

The Celebration of Slytherin will run from Friday 3rd April trough to Sunday 6th September 2020.

All the Slytherin extras will be included in the usual admission price. Adult tickets start from £47, child tickets from £38 - you can find out more on the Warner Bros Studio Tour website. Tickets must be pre-booked in advance.

Muggles who want to explore more of the Wizarding World may also want to check out our guide to the best Harry Potter filming locations throughout the UK you can visit - including locations used to recreate Hogwarts itself.

Gryffindors who want to sleep in their own common room can also check out the magical themed apartment which pays tribute to the Hogwarts house.
