Harry Potter fans bewildered by 'reappearing' Goblet of Fire scene they don't remember

Do you consider yourself a Potterhead? Know everything there is to know about Harry and Hogwarts?

If you answered yes, then I have one more question for you - do you know the school song, Hoggy Warty Hogwarts?

Die hard fans of the franchise on social media were recently left feeling completely bewildered after discovering that the anthem even exists.

A woman named Kristina stumbled across what we can only assume is a deleted scene containing the song, from the fourth movie, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

Kristina was minding her own business, re-watching the movie, when all of a sudden, the Hogwarts students, including Harry, Ron and Hermione get up in the Great Hall and with a little help from Dumbledore, start belting out the bizarre tune.

The scene takes place just after students from the other magical schools arrive at Hogwarts for the Triwizard Tournament.

The men of the Durmstrang Institue enter very dramatically, followed by the lovely ladies from Beauxbatons Academy.

Not wanting to be outshone by their rivals, Dumbledore encourages his students to entertain their guests in a similar fashion.

The hall then fills with singing and the song features some rather odd lyrics, including "Whether we be old and bald or young with scabby knees," and "for now they’re bare and full of hair, dead flies and bits of fluff."

None of the students look particularly thrilled to be singing the song, especially Draco Malfoy who'd clearly rather be anywhere else in that moment.

Kristina filmed the scene on her phone and posted it to TikTok under the name @kristinamarieclaire.

She asked fellow users: "Is this a deleted scene or am I going senile?"

She captioned the post, adding: "I was thrown for a loop when this happened it’s a little cringe ngl."

The clip quickly went viral, garnering over 68,000 likes, with over 1,600 comments.

What even are these lyrics? (tiktok)

Many people were equally confused by the sudden appearance of the scene in the film and said they'd never seen it before either.

One person said: "That's definitely not on the DVDs!!! I've seen the movies a million times. Huge HP fan... What in the hell is going on?"

Another wrote: "Def don't remeber this lol and I was obsessed with Harry Potter."

A third replied: "I...am so confused???? I have seen these movies front to back since I was eight so many times and I've NEVER SEEN THIS."

However others knew exactly what was going on.

"It's a deleted scene from the movie that actually happened in the book," commented a different user.

Someone else stated: "There is an extended version of the movie that has extra scenes that were removed for the theatre version so it wasn't too long."

A third fan added: "OMG you haven't seen this? Fricking love it."

Well, we definitely learned something new today. If anyone needs us, we'll be re-watching all of the Harry Potter films back-to-back looking for more things we missed.
