‘Harry Potter’ bottled Butterbeer available online, in select stores in UK; US fans out of luck?

Harry Potter fans, the rumors are true: Butterbeer, one of the most beloved drinks from the Wizarding World, now comes in bottles.

Warner Bros. is selling the non-alcoholic, butterscotch-flavored drink in bottles online and in select stores. It was previously only available in draught form at select Wizarding World locations.

But don’t get too excited, American Potterheads.

“Delivery of bottled Butterbeer is available in the UK only,” the Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter shop website says, noting a maximum purchase of three bottles per order.

The Butterbeer is brewed in the U.K. and comes in souvenir glass bottles with a collectible label.

“The beverage features the familiar butterscotch flavour fans will recognise among other secret ingredients, making it the perfect gift for aspiring wizards and witches,” Warner Bros. website says. It’s also vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free.

According to Insider, the bottled Butterbeer will be available to buy at the London shop as well as the Platform 9 ¾ Shops at London King’s Cross Station, Heathrow Airport and Gatwick Airport.

Is it possible Butterbeer will make its way to the U.S.?

USA TODAY reached out to Warner Bros. but didn’t immediately hear back. On Instagram, Warner Bros. Studio Tour London offered some hope.

“Hi there, at the moment, bottled Butterbeer is only available to purchase in the UK, keep an eye out for more locations in the future,” the account said in responding to a fan.

Since the COVID-19 pandemic temporarily closed Universal Studios parks, many have also turned to copycat recipes.
