Harry Potter actor 'caught on CCTV scrawling graffiti' outside pub after Hogwarts event

Harry Potter actor Joshua Herdman, who played Draco Malfoy's friend Gregory Goyle, has reportedly been caught on CCTV scrawling graffiti outside a pub.

Herdman, 32, was on on the town with his Slytherin sidekick Jamie Waylett, 30, who played Vincent Crabbe in the franchise, another evil friend of Malfoy's.

The two men were in Perth, Scotland and were also joined by Percy Weasley actor Chris Rankin at the city's Riverside Light Nights celebrations, reports The Scottish Sun.

They visited The School Of Witchcraft and Wizardry in the Fair City, where Herdman proudly posed in front of a poster of his face.

Afterwards, they had been taking selfies and signing autographs with Harry Potter fans at the Auld Hoose pub, owned by Mark O'Callaghan.

O'Callaghan said he had intended to go to the Light Nights to get an autograph from the famous actors, but could not make it.
“Later, I got a call from the pub to say that Crabbe and Goyle were in," he said.

"I asked if someone could get a photo of them to put on the wall, but they had had a bit to drink and the staff didn’t want to ask.”

He said when he turned up for work the next morning, there was graffiti outside the pub in two different places.

The tags, written in white marker, appeared to read “Lurch” and “Bully”.

O'Callaghan said he was "really angry" when he saw the premises had been defaced.

"I put a post up on Facebook asking did these idiots know there was a CCTV camera pointed directly at them," he explained.

“I didn’t get a chance to look at the CCTV until Friday morning. I couldn’t believe who it was. I just thought: Surely not.”

O'Callaghan believes Herdman, who recently starred in ITV's White House Farm, is visible on the CCTV drawing the graffiti tag, on his own.

He was earlier seen standing outside with Waylett, having a cigarette.

“I’m not going to report this to the police,” he said.

A similar tag reportedly appeared on the door of the neighbouring Sweeney Todd barbershop.

MirrorOnline has reached out to a representative for Joshua Herdman for comment.

Waylett was jailed for two years in 2012 after being found guilty of violent disorder when he swigged from a bottle of champagne stolen during the London riots.

He was pictured holding a petrol bomb, though he was cleared of intending to destroy or damage property.

IN 2009, he lost his role in Harry Potter after he was caught growing cannabis plants in his home, and was sentenced to 120 hours community service.

“I was annoyed at the time, but I can see the funny side. He didn’t leave any damage, and the tags came off fairly easily. “It’s funny to think that people were queuing to pay £5 to get to see them and get their autograph, and I got mine for free.”
