Harry now 'free from shackles' as he ditches royal family's well known mantra

Harry is no longer held down by the "mentality" of other working members of the Royal Family, a source who is allegedly a friend of the Duke of Sussex has claimed.

Instead, the Prince has found a "supportive" partner in Meghan Markle, who fights for Harry's beliefs which has "emboldened" him, the source also claimed.

After Harry and Meghan stepped down from their royal duties in January 2020, the King's younger son has embraced his new-found freedom of being free of the royal family's shackles, the Express reports.

He has seemingly ditched their well known manta of "never complain, never explain", which was adopted by his grandmother Queen Elizabeth II for seven decades, after his spill-all Netflix docuseries with Meghan and his bombshell memoir where he spoke his mind on the Firm.

Harry, who is also very critical of the British press, has embarked on a "mission" which another source suggested may be open-ended.

Referring to the caution which is normally adopted by royals and the palace when speaking publicly, the friend told the Sunday Times: "He’s free from the shackles of that mentality."

They added: "In Meghan, he has found someone supportive of that stance and he’s emboldened by that.

"But the bigger picture is that he believes there are some very significant wrongs that need to be righted."

Another source believes that Harry will continue to speak about the British press even after his legal cases against multiple publications will come to an end.

They claimed: "He sees his mission as being the standard bearer of a fair media and I think we’ll see more of this in years to come.

"He feels so strongly about it. He’ll always be a powerful advocate of fair and true reporting."

When the Duke and Duchess of Sussex left the royal family they insisted that they would continue to serve the Crown and support royal patronages while living in the US and being financially independent.

However, it seems they did not come to an agreement with the Palace on what was later described as an "half in-half out" solution.

By the end of March 2020, they officially bowed out of the Firm and their senior roles altogether, agreeing not to use their HRH styles and eventually relinquishing their military and royal patronages.

Now based in California, Harry and Meghan launched a new organisation, Archewell, which includes a non-profit Foundation which they use to carry out their charity work.

Archewell also compromises two production powerhouses that the duke and duchess use to create remunerative audio and video content for streaming platforms.

Stepping down as working royals didn't just allow Meghan and Harry to become independent from the Sovereign Grant and pursue a career of their own, but also gave them more freedom to publicly speak about their personal struggles within the Firm and the media.

Meghan and Harry haven't entirely cut their ties with the royals with Prince Harry saying in multiple interviews that he is looking forward to having a close relationship again with his father King Charles and elder brother Prince William.

The couple also decided to name their two children with the titles Prince Archie Harrison and Princess Lilibet Diana, which they became entitled to following Charles' accession to the throne.
