Harry McKirdy set for Hibs bow as he's given FIFA thumbs up for Easter Road debut against Kilmarnock

FIFA have approved the signing of new Hibs striker Harry McKirdy.

Football's governing body granted permission for the English League Two side Swindon Town attacker to begin his time at Easter Road. Hibs announced the capture of their new man to bolster Lee Johnson's attacking options late on deadline day. But the transfer was subject to clearance from FIFA.

The club last night confirmed that FIFA bosses poured over paperwork provided by Hibs and Swindon Town, the FA and the SFA before granting permission. It means McKirdy, who has signed on a three year deal, can go into today's squad for the Premiership clash at home to Kilmarnock.

McKirdy netted 23 goals in 44 games last season and has already hit two in his first five matches this term.

He will join a Hibs attack desperate for goals after they sealed another deadline capture in the shape of Mykola Kukharevych from French Ligue 1 side ES Troyes AC on a season long loan.

Manchester United youngster Will Fish was another deadline day recruit for Lee Johnson, who will miss today's game due to Gallbladder surgery.
