Harry Maguire sends message to Manchester United squad following Leicester win

Harry Maguire has urged his Manchester United teammates to be ready when their opportunity arises in the coming weeks.

United returned to winning ways in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon as they defeated Leicester 1-0 at Old Trafford in the Premier League.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer made one change from the side which drew with Southampton prior to the international break while Fred, Tahith Chong and Axel Tuanzebe all played their first minutes of the new season.

A few fans were frustrated that Angel Gomes and Mason Greenwood did not make an appearance from the bench, but Maguire has urged the unused players to be ready when their chances do come.

"We knew it was important to get the win, especially after the international break," Maguire told BBC Sport.

"We have to build on a solid base and we want to keep clean sheets, especially at Old Trafford. We are always going to score goals with the attacking talent we have.

"We could have kept the ball better but we defended well. The boys who came in looked sharp and fit and a big well done to them. We have games coming thick and fast and I'm sure the manager will utilise the squad, so be patient and take you chance when you get it."
