Harry Maguire's prediction about Mason Mount's England future that will excite Chelsea fans

Manchester United and England defender Harry Maguire has said that Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount will enjoy a lot of good times with England in the future.

Mount made his full international debut it the Three Lions' European qualifier against the Czech Republic on Friday night. England lost the game by two goals to one, after Harry Kane had given them an early lead from the penalty spot.

However, goals from Jakub Brabec and Zdenek Ondrasek turned the game on its head and condemned Gareth Southgate's men to their first qualifiers defeat in 10 years.

Following the match, Maguire claimed that the experience will be a learning curve for England's young players, including Mount, and insisted that the team have more good times ahead of them.

“It’s disappointing for the younger lads in terms of the result, but it will be something they don’t forget," said the defender, as reported by the Mirror .

“Mounty has made his debut - the first game of many, I’m sure – and he’s going to have a lot better nights ahead.

“But the defeat shows us that we’ve still a lot of work to go.

“We’re still in a strong position in the group and now we have got to finish the job off.

“But we do need to nullify little areas to take into the Euros because if we do manage to qualify, we have to nullify these mistakes.”
